Classic Party Mix

Classic Party Mix

I’m not sure how this Deluxe Chex Party Mix became a must-have holiday snack at our house, but for my entire life, Christmas would not be the same without it.

I’m sure that my mom found the recipe on the back of a cereal box, but as most good cooks do, she added her spin to the recipe.
She added cheese crackers and cheerios, which now seem standard in most recipes I’ve seen.

My version has corn and rice Chex, cheerio’s, mixed nuts, pretzels, cheese-it’s, and Goldfish crackers, Bugle snacks,
I make such a large batch that I bake it in a large disposable turkey pan. I freeze it in gallon freezer bags for up to three months.

This mix isn’t just for Christmas. We take it on vacation with us for a snack on the go. We also leave a large bowl for our house sitters, and they love it. You should take a stab at this American favorite, and don’t be afraid to put your spin on it just like all the good cooks before you. Enjoy!

Classic Party Mix

Salty and savory, this mix is a tradition in our house.
