Banana Split Pie
Want to make someone’s day? Make them a Banana Split Pie! Yesterday, I said, “I’m going to make a Banana Split Pie,” and watched a full-grown man’s eyes light up like it was Christmas. My husband, Dale, loves this dessert.
I’ve been perfecting this banana split recipe for this blog for several months. It started as a recipe from my mother; she called it a banana split dessert. She prepared it in a 9×13 pan, and it was more or less a pot luck dish. I always thought it would make a great pie.
After several tries, I got it just right; I wanted to share it with you right away. This recipe has all the hallmarks of classic banana split (without the ice cream)— with its sweet layer of bananas, a delicious custard filling with pineapple, a drizzle of decadent chocolate syrup, and a graham cracker crust pulls it all together.
My banana split pie is perfect for any celebration. I promise that you will go home with an empty pie plate. So, What are you waiting for? Grab some bananas and whip up this pie.
