Ingredients

Muffin Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 tsps baking powder
  • 1 1/4 tsps ground nutmeg
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 5 1/3 Tbsps butter, melted

Topping Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 Tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.

  2. Whisk and mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt in a medium bowl.

  3. Form a hole in the middle of the dry ingredients.

  4. In different bowl, beat the eggs, add the milk and melted butter.

  5. Add the wet mixture to the middle of the dry mix, and Stir just until moistened.

  6. Line or lightly butter 12 muffin cups. Fill about three-quarters.

  7. Bake for 20-25 mins, until muffins are springy when touched.

  8. While the muffins are baking, mix the sugar and cinnamon in a medium bowl.

  9. When the muffins are baked, cool them to where you can handle them.

  10. Carefully, dip the muffins into the butter, then into the sugar mixture. Serve warm.
