BBQ Dipped Fried Chicken

Day old Fried Chicken is reinvented by dipping it in a tangy BBQ sauce and baking it until the sauce creates a sticky glaze that melts in your mouth.

Ingredients

  • 8 pieces cold fried chicken, cold deli fried chicken works great

BBQ Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chile sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon ground dry mustard
  • ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

BBQ Sauce Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over low heat, mix the brown sugar, chile sauce, rum, soy sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, dry mustard, and pepper.

  2. Simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool, and refrigerate until ready to use.

Dipping the Chicken Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

  3. Dip pieces of cold fired chicken in the BBQ sauce, taking care to completely coat the chicken.

  4. lay coated chicken on the baking sheet, chicken should not touch.

  5. bake 35 to forty mins, or until the coating begins to carnalize.

  6. remove from oven and allow to set 5 mins before serving. Enjoy.
